Dear Fellow Golfing Enthusiast,
Many golfers despair of ever repeating a near-perfect practice game out on the course… others frequently enjoy a good casual game with friends but go to pieces in competitions… and others enjoy a perfect swing in private but go completely to pot in public.
Does that happen to you?
Why is that?
Tiger Woods gives us a clue…
"One thing that makes Tiger Tiger is that he's more willing to bring a shot from the practice tee onto the course than any golfer I know."
- Butch Harmon [Tiger's former Golf Coach]
"Tiger sees things differently. He sees the line - not just of his putts, on all his shots - more clearly. I'd like to know how he does it. I know this: The next time he's standing over a 45-footer, I'll be expecting him to make it."
- Ernie Els, after losing the Mercedes Championships to Tiger when Tiger made a 45-foot putt.
Would you like to know how Tiger consistently takes incredible shots like that?
Simple…
Tiger has trained his mind to play an error-free, championship game - every time! Sure… he's perfected his grip… fine-tuned his swing… his drive is formidable… his putting accuracy is a joy to watch… but every single shot is played out in his mind before he even steps up to the ball. And it's that discipline; that focus that makes him the champion he is.
Jack Nicklaus tells us he does the same…
"I never hit a shot, even in practice, without having a sharp, in focus picture of it in my head. It's like a colour movie!"
It takes mind training and practice to achieve these dizzying heights of golfing success. And in a moment I'll tell you how you can gain an increased level of concentration - that ups your game - and how you can have fun whilst doing it.
Tell me, has something like this ever happened to you?
You've had a great practice session; you got your grip right; you nailed the sweet spot every time; your short putts were perfect. And now you're feeling relaxed and confident as you meet up with your friends for a game.
"Loser pays at the 19th?" someone suggests as you walk over to the first tee. "That won't be me after that brilliant practice session!" you think as you nod in agreement.
You tee-off and hit it pure on the nut and smile to yourself as the ball sails down the fairway. Your next shot is also a beauty. And when you reach the first green your putting brings murmurs of approval from your playing partners.
And so it continues for the nine. You can almost taste that free drink coming up.
Then disaster strikes; you slice at the 10th tee. And suddenly everything falls apart - even the simplest shot - the easy putts - seem to elude you. You get more and more irritated and - to make matters worse - dark storm clouds appear overhead… at least that's how you feel even though the sun still continues to shine!
What went wrong? One bad slice - that's all it was - but it had a domino effect, knocking out every one of your shots that followed it.
It's frustrating and, because you know you have the skills to take these shots - after all you did it fine in practice, you get angry with yourself. And, finally, resign yourself to knowing you'll be forking out at the clubhouse. Your whole day is spoilt - just because of that slice.
So what's different between your practice session and this game? Sure - there's more at stake - but it's only a friendly. Why can't you do the same as Tiger and bring all your great practice shots to the course?
Remember I mentioned Tiger and Jack's mental focus? How they train their minds as well as perfecting their golfing techniques? That's what most golfers lack - mental strength and focus.
Is that your weakness too?
Think back to when you experienced a similar scenario to the one I described above.
What was going through your mind after the first bad shot?
What were you saying to yourself?
What pictures did you conjure up in your head?
a How did you feel? Exasperated?
When you berate yourself for taking a bad shot - and, let's face it, we're all good at beating ourselves up over silly mistakes, aren't we? …you lose focus. And when you're not focused you make more slips; slicing; topping the ball; losing your ball in the rough; getting blast shots in the bunkers; putting too short or too long… the embarrassment can seem never ending, can't it?
Now, you may not be aiming for the PGA championships, perhaps you just want to win your local golf-club tournament? Or maybe you'd like to stop putting your hand in your pocket at the 19th after playing a friendly?
Want to know how you can do that… simply and effectively?

| New to the UK - Innovative Golf Performance Training |
Golf-Mission is a new, innovative, game played within your golf game. It keeps you focused on your golf; it stops you dwelling on what has happened (you can't change the past, can you?) and it trains your mind to play the best shots and putts you can. Your only limitation is your current skill level; your nerves no longer get the better of you.
What's more… it's fun! And - because it keeps the pressure on during your casual games so you get used to staying 'in the moment' - it develops your mental toughness. You reap the rewards because now you are cool under the pressure of any competitive games you take on.
Now, make your play as good as, if not better, than your practice… eliminate match nerves... experience the sweet smell of success.
"One player off 15 took it out for the first time and shot one over gross on the front 9! That would NEVER have happened before." Rob Cheney, Golfers Academy
"It made me focus on shots that I would have just hit without ANY real focus. I never felt pressure in a social round like that before. Especially down the stretch." Andy Sams, Ex Pro
With Golf Mission™ you…
Order your Golf Mission game set
Each player has a card. There are 6 missions or tasks on each card. Each card has a different set of golf missions to make it more interesting. The game rule is each player completes the number of missions for their handicap level. The higher your handicap, the lower the number of missions you have to complete.
A mission could be…
'No more than six putts on the first three holes'
The Captain of the PGA had this mission when he played with Jamie Edwards. "He was on the par 5, 3rd in 3 and lagged his putt to 4ft. I could see he was getting a little edgy" Jamie explained "He pushed it and picked it up out of the cup after tapping the miss in.
'I'm sold!' he said. He told me he'd never felt pressure on a putt so early in a round, especially a social round."
Don't worry - if you don't meet a mission you're not out of the game yet!
For example, if one of your missions is 'No sand or water on the hole' and you hit the bunker - which means you've technically failed that mission - but you make par or better, then your failed mission is saved and you stay in the game.
So, you have no reason to 'chuck in the towel' if you're behind in a round or match… because making the par puts you back in the running. Now that keeps you focused!
